BlueScopeWIN Community Partners
The BlueScopeWIN Community Partners program sees two iconic businesses in the Illawarra joining forces to create a local community support fund. The partnership, contributes a significant amount to projects and programs that meet real needs in the Illawarra. Collectively, it’s all about making a real difference to the Illawarra community.
Both BlueScope and WIN are proud of their long history in the region and see this as the perfect opportunity to join together and create a model for community engagement.
BlueScope has been part of the Illawarra’s landscape for over 90 years, since the Hoskins’ family established the Port Kembla Steelworks in 1928 – internationally it still remains BlueScope’s largest single manufacturing site. Whilst WIN TV, headquartered in Wollongong, has been an integral part of the Illawarra community since Bruce Gordon purchased the business in the late 1970’s.
The program has specific eligibility criteria that enables funding to be directed to groups that deliver real benefit or meet a real community need.
