All applications will be considered under the following criteria;

• Does you project or organisation follow one or more of the themes – health, safety, environment, diversity, youth and education?
• Are you meeting community expectations?
• Will your project leave a lasting legacy to the community?
• Are you a genuine not-for-profit group?
• Do you have a demonstrated financial shortfall?
• Do you already have a credible reputation?
• Have you already been able to demonstrate self-help behaviour?
• Do you have the ability to attract further funding?
• Are you able to provide opportunities to recognise the BlueScopeWIN program at events and otherwise?

Applications will not be considered if;

1. The event or organisation is located outside of the Illawarra region (Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama, Shoalhaven Council areas);
2. It involves political interests or campaigns;
3. It involves raising funds for other organisations;
4. It involves religious organisations for religious purposes;
5. It involves professional sports or artists or commercial interests;
6. It involves any unsafe or environmentally damaging practices:
7. Please note we are generally unable to sponsor indivdual schools or sporting clubs – it is preferred that applications are at a regional level or for an umbrella organisation.
